Tucked within 200 acres of private Oregon forest, this vacation rental and bed & breakfast in the Willamette Valley is unlike anywhere else: a soaring two-story library lined with books, stained glass windows that glow in the morning sun, koi gliding through spring-fed ponds, and trails that wind through a 120-acre nature conservancy.
The story of Mount Tom House began over fifty years ago, when a circle of friends built homes and raised families side by side. That legacy of community still lives here — and when you arrive, you’re invited into it. Whether you’re gathering loved ones for a milestone celebration, planning a wine country getaway, or simply craving stillness among the trees, Mount Tom House offers a retreat that is both whimsical and refined.
TWO WAYS TO STAY
- Vacation Home Rental (standard VRBO) — Make the house entirely yours. With full kitchen access, six bedrooms, and generous living spaces, this option is ideal for family getaways, group retreats, or graduation lodging in Oregon.
- Bed & Breakfast Experience — We opened Mount Tom House as a bed and breakfast and operate most of the year as such! If you are seeking personally curated experience, or interested in hosting an event, wedding, or inviting day guests? This is the way!

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
- Six bedrooms (four king, one queen, one bunk room) comfortably host up to 12 guests.
- For larger groups, two oversized couches and an air mattress can accommodate up to 16 guests in total inside the house ($35/person/night after 12 guests).
- 4 additional canvas tents available Memorial Day weekend - end of September for an additional 8 guests ($150/tent/night)

CHECK IN:
You may inquire about an early check in and we will do our best to accommodate. Expect an additional fee for early check ins.
CHECK OUT:
You may inquire about a late check out no later than 24 hours before your departure day and we will do our best to accommodate. Expect an additional fee for late check outs.
Expect Craig, Juli, or someone from our MTH team to arrive shortly after standard check out time (11am) or your approved late check out time. There will be a $100 fee for every 15 minutes a guest is still on Mount Tom House property after the arranged check out time.
PARKING:
There is a cement parking pad by our 3-car garage with 3 designated parking spots. There is also a gravel parking lot with ample parking.
ACCESSIBILITY:
In short, we are not an accessibility-friendly home. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor and accessible by stairs only. If you have specific questions, please ask.
POOL & HOT TUB:
- Indoor pool open mid-June–September (inquire for exact dates)
- Hot tub available year-round
- Liability waiver required prior to check-in
- You may request to heat the pool October–May for an additional fee
- The Mount Tom House team will control heating the hot tub & turning on the jets. We will arrange times with you in advance to do so (our system is wonky, 40-years old , and not intuitive).
MORE ABOUT EVENTS:
We love hosting intimate celebrations, weddings, and other events! Events are NOT permitted unless pre-approved. Events hosted at Mount Tom House will include Mount Tom House staffing and the bed and breakfast experience regardless of time of year: if you would like to host an event /celebration or invite day-of guests, your reservation will be a staffed bed & breakfast experience. The bed and breakfast experience will include breakfast each morning and our team working behind the scenes to ensure your event runs seamlessly. We provide at minimum tables, chairs, set up, and tear down. If you are hosting events at Mount Tom House, you will be required to sign additional contracts and pay any additional event fees. LAUNDRY ACCESS:
Please let us know no later than 3 days in advance of your stay if you would like laundry access.
BABY / CHILDREN'S ITEMS:
If you would like specific items, please inquire ahead of your stay. We most likely have them and they are most likely packed away unless requested.

Your stay includes breakfast each morning, a friendly staff, and all the amenities listed EXCEPT access to the kitchen. This experience offers the amenities that you might find at a restaurant or boutique hotel in a personable and cozy setting. Uncertain that this experience is for you? We will operate as the Mount Tom House bed & breakfast for any bookings that include an event or invited day-of guests regardless of time of year or size of group.
Guest count: a maximum of 12 overnight guests inside Mount Tom House are allowed as a bed & breakfast experience.
Kitchen use: the kitchen is a registered food establishment and cannot be used by guests (just like a restaurant!). Guests have their own private refrigerator & freezer, access to the outdoor grill, and ample options for additional meals, including in-house options, collaborations with private chefs, local catering options, Whole Foods same-day delivery, a list of our favorite restaurants & take-out spots. GUEST ACCESS:
We operate Mount Tom House as a bed and breakfast most of the year. You will notice that there will be doors & cabinets that are locked. They are intended to be! You will also notice doors with "staff only" signs. Please use common sense and do not try to access locked doors/cabinets or areas that clearly indicate "staff only." The outdoor pizza oven is NOT accessible to guests' use.
2026 GRADUATION WEEKEND & NCAAS
*We ask for a 5-night minimum during the period of June 8 - June 18th, 2026. On our calendar, the minimum night set is 2 nights to pop up in search results, but we will require a 5-night minimum. Please reach out if you have any questions!
CERTIFICATION:
We are a licensed and certified bed and breakfast by the state and county. What does that mean? The property has been approved to operate as a business and undergoes routine inspections: our T's are crossed and our I's are dotted. We aim to provide the warm hominess you expect from a VRBO while also providing the professionalism expected of a business.
